The pipe valve is a coaxial electric control valve with a fluid passage having a valve sleeve (12) forming a sliding valve closure. An electric motor (21) has a transmission (22) to open and close the valve linearly via a lever (31) extending transversely to the direction of sleeve movement. One end of the lever is connected to the motor drive and the other to a mounting on the valve housing.
