PURPOSE:To be endowed with magnetic characteristics such as a high effective permeability, a definite permeability over a wide range and the like by a method wherein a core is constituted by winding an amorphous magnetic alloy substrate, of a specific composition, in which an oxide film has been formed on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A core is constituted by winding an amorphous magnetic alloy thin sheet having a composition expressed by Formula: Fe100-(x+y)Vx(B1-zSiz)y (where 0.1<=x<=3, 2.0<=y<=2.8 and 0.1<=z<=0.7) in terms of an atomic ratio. An oxide film is formed at least on the surface of the thin sheet. This oxide film is formed by means of a heat treatment in an atmosphere with a humidity of 3 to 20g/m<3>. Since an element which is oxidized easily is contained in such an amorphous magnetic alloy, the oxide film can be formed smoothly; the core can be endowed with good magnetic characteristics such as a high effective permeability, a definite permeability over a wide range and the like. |
