摘要 PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting underwater toxicity is provided to efficiently determine toxicity of different toxic materials under water such as river, sea, wastewater processing places and/or water supply source by adapting specific construction of the detection apparatus having multiple reactors and optic fibers and photo detecting device. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a water filtering device; at least four reactors comprising a first reactor to incubate recombination microorganisms having luminous property against toxic materials, a second reactor having inlet port to accept the incubated material from the first reactor, another inlet port to accept water source from the filtering device and optical fibers to detect the toxic materials; and photo detecting devices coupled to the optical fibers of both of the first and second reactors. The detection method is carried out by filtering water source; adding the filtered solution into each of the four reactors continuously provided with different recombination microorganisms having luminous property against the toxic materials; and detecting the light radiated from the reactors.
