PURPOSE: A system and method for testing ADSL(Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) loops is provided to evaluate the levels of ADSL loops using an existing coaxial cable. CONSTITUTION: A system for testing ADSL(Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) loops is comprised of an operating terminal(36), a TOMS(Telephone Outside Plant Management System)(32), a PSDN and Internet(34), and a ADSL loop qualification equipment(38). The operating terminal(36) commands a line test and displays a test result on the screen. The TOMS(32) is provided with line database information. The PSDN and Internet(34) provides a communication path with the TOMS(32). The ADSL loop qualification equipment(38), referring to the line database information of the TOMS(32), tests a preset test line, stores a test result, and provides it to the operating terminal.
