PURPOSE: A brake pad wear sensing device enables a driver to know certainly the wear condition of a brake pad. CONSTITUTION: A brake pad wear sensing device comprises a roller(12), a generator(15) and an alarming light(18). The roller(12) rotatably installed at the one side of a back plate(2) which a brake pad is fixed at rotates when the brake pad wears to a wear limit. The generator(15) connected with a rotatory axis(13) drives due to the rotation of the roller(12). The alarming light(18) installed at the one side of an instrument panel is lighted by the electric power generated from the generator(15), thereby informing a driver that a brake pad(1) wears to a wear limit. Therefore, the brake pad wear sensing device informs certainly a driver the time to exchange the brake pad, and prevents the frictional sound causing a passenger to be unpleasant.
