PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer composition which does not deteriorate the original characteristic flavors and qualities of foods, does not cause troubles on machines for producing . processing the foods, is useful for the foods, food raw materials, and the machines for producing . processing the foods, and is highly safe. SOLUTION: This sterilizer composition for foods, food raw materials, and machines for producing . processing the foods, characterized by containing ethanol and sodium gluconate as active ingredients. The composition may further contain a middle chain fatty acid and a pH-adjusting agent in addition to the ethanol and the sodium gluconate as active ingredients, and may preferably be diluted with water.
