PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light recording medium prominent in recording characteristics and excellent in durability or especially durability in a high- temperature high-humidity atmosphere. SOLUTION: In the light recording medium 100 having a recording layer 20 to record an information by changing the optical characteristics of the recording layer 20 by providing the same layer 20 with an external energy, the recording layer 20 is provided with at least a first layer containing Sn, Bi and an oxidizable substance, more readily oxidized than Sn and Bi. An Sn-Bi alloy is prominent in recording characteristics. On the other hand, the oxidizable substance, more readily oxidized than Sn and Bi, is added and the oxidizable substance is oxidized selectively whereby the corrosion of the Sn-Bi alloy is delayed, and the film of oxide produced by the oxidizing of the oxidizable substance is formed on the surface of the Sn-Bi alloy, thereby delaying the corrosion further. Accordingly, the durability of the Sn-Bi alloy is improved. |
