<p>A method for connecting a connector (1;25) to the end of a concrete reinforcing bar (14,15), the bar being provided with ribs (13) at its outside surface. The connector (1;25) is screwed on said end. The connector (1;25) comprises a hole (2) provided with internal screw thread (8,9;18,19;32,33) and with a screw thread producing portion (4;20,21;34,35) producing screw thread on said end of said bar (14,15), the screw thread being formed substantially in said ribs (13). Preferably the screw thread is produced by a material removing cutting operation, whereby the removed material is stored in recesses (6) in the connector (1,25). <IMAGE></p> |
