<p>An adaptive equalizer includes an analysis filter bank coupled to a source of a channel signal occupying a frequency band. The analysis filter bank generates a plurality of signals representing respective frequency subbands within the frequency band of the channel signal. An adaptive filter bank is responsive to the respective signals from the analysis filter bank and generates respective signals representing equalized frequency subbands. A synthesis filter bank combines the equalized subbands from the adaptive filter bank into an equalized channel signal occupying the frequency band.</p> |
