Streptomycin isolation and purification

摘要

The fermentation broth is put on to a cationic ion exchange column. The column is treated with (a) a chelating agent e.g. EDTA; (b) CO2; (c) moderately concentrated acid e.g. H2SO4. Streptomycin is isolated from the eulate. The ion exchange resin is a salt of pref. of copolymerisate of acrylic or methacrylic acid.
