PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a herbicide having high herbicidal activities, a wide herbicidal spectrum and herbicidal characteristics safe to crops. SOLUTION: This herbicide contains (I) 2-[2-(3-chlorophenyl)-2,3- epoxypropyl]-2-ethylindan-1,3-dione or an optically active body thereof, and (II) a herbicide having a urea or a thiourea skeleton as active ingredients.
