PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact washing machine of large capacity and low noise, reducing the resonance amplitude of a specific vibration mode by providing a suspension bar mechanism with a magnetic fluid damper particularly in a full automatic washing machine concerning the vibration damping mechanism structure of the washing machine. SOLUTION: This washing machine is provided with a low vibration mechanism provided with a rotating speed detecting means and vibration and noise detecting means and a control type fluid damper for controlling the current of an electromagnet of the suspension bar mechanism on the basis of the output of the rotating speed, vibration and noise detecting means to adjust the damping quantity. Resonance amplitude when passing a resonance point of a conical mode is thereby reduced.
