PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling type fire extinguisher which does not require power and piping and is easy to use while a conventional fire extinguisher manually sprays a chemical solution (agent) to the center of a fire, and an automatic fire extinguisher has been a large sized apparatus which requires power and piping. SOLUTION: A pressure-generating cylinder 3 is separated from a fire extinguishing liquid tank 2. Then, in order to generate a pressure by mixing two kinds of chemicals in the pressure-generating cylinder 3, when a high temperature is sensed (by a bimetal 7, or the like), a circuit is closed. Then, powder 6 which is affixed to a container 5 containing a chemical in order to isolate the chemical in the pressure-generating cylinder, is electrically ignited, and the container is broken, and carbon dioxide is generated by mixing the two chemicals. Then, the pressure is introduced into the fire extinguishing liquid tank 2 by a pressure-resistant pressure-introducing hose 8. Then, the fire extinguishing liquid is sprayed from a fire extinguishing liquid spraying nozzle 4. |
