BACKLIGHT SYSTEM FOR USE IN LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A backlight system for use in a liquid crystal display device is to control a light as a user wants by employing a light guide plate having a hologram pattern without using any prism sheet and any diffusion sheet. CONSTITUTION: The backlight system for use in the liquid crystal display device comprises a light source(401), a lens array(402) and a light guide plate(403). The lens array transmits the light radiated from the light source. The light guide plate has a hologram pattern for reflecting the light transmitted from the lens array uniformly. The hologram pattern of the light guide plate is formed by the light radiated from the light source and the light radiated to a bottom face of the light guide plate. An efficiency of the hologram pattern is higher as the hologram pattern becomes farther from the light source.
