PURPOSE: A system and method for transmitting data in a computer system is provided to transfer the data among processors in multi processor data processing system having a highest performance. CONSTITUTION: The method for transmitting data in a computer system comprises the steps of broadcasting a request corresponding to the data from a requesting device, identifying a response from computer system device, and transmitting the data to a determined device having closest logical proximity among a plurality of computer system device. The response includes a location of the device and represents if the device includes the data or not.
