PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing breakout of a bloom is provided to prevent breakout of the bloom and easily perform the arrangement adjusting operation by consistently applying constant forces to the bloom and controllably spraying cooling water amount. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for preventing breakout of a continuous casting bloom, the apparatus comprises a pair of upper and lower foot rolls (41) mounted on both side surface bases between a pair of side surface bases (42) and a back surface base (45) which are mounted on a base of the lower part of a mold; a buffing device mounted on the upper and lower end parts of both sides of the back surface base (45) so that force received by the foot rolls (41) is buffed by bulging of the bloom; and a bulging sensing cylinder (22) mounted on the back side of the back surface base (45) with coupled to the buffing device for sensing bulging of the bloom.
