PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installation and removal of a vehicle air tank mounting device having an air tank inside a ladder-shaped frame formed of side members of U-shaped cross section and prevent air tank piping from moving from a predetermined position and interfering with other parts. SOLUTION: The device includes: a first plate part 2 making contact with the inner surface of the rib Fr of the side member F1 of U-shaped cross section; a second plate part 3; a third plate part 4; a fourth plate part 5; a first arcuate part 6; a fifth plate part 7; a sixth plate part 8 formed in contact with the inner surface of the rib Fr; a seventh plate part 9 formed at approximately right angles to the direction of the center of the vehicle; a second arcuate part 10; an eighth plate part 11 bent with an obtuse angle to the direction of the center of the vehicle; a bolt hole 12; first and second bolt holes S1 and S2; and a slit 13 formed in the joint between the second and third plate parts 3 and 4. The plate parts and the arcuate parts are formed continuously with one another by use of a flat plate strip.
