GLAZING CHANNEL FOR DOUBLE GLAZING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve problems that cracks or ruptures may occur on bends when a linear glazing channel is bent and fitted to the peripheral edge section of a double glazing and a trouble may occur on the installation and drainage property of a drain hole when a backup material is stuck to the whole bottom piece section of the glazing channel. SOLUTION: This glazing channel 1 with a recessed cross section is coupled to surround the peripheral edge sections of a sash and the rectangular double glazing coupled with the sash and held. The glazing channel 1 is provided with a bottom piece section 3 and side piece sections 4 erected at both end sections. The backup material 5 having extensibility over the whole surface in the longitudinal direction is integrally connected to at least the linear outer bottom face 3a of the bottom piece section 3 of the glazing channel 1. The backup material 5 is provided in the shape of two bands on the right and left portions except for an unconnected portion 8 at the intermediate section over the whole surface in the longitudinal direction in the width direction of the outer bottom face 3a of the bottom piece section 3. V-shaped cut sections not reaching the bottom piece section 3 are provided at symmetrical positions on at least part of the side piece sections 4 of the glazing channel 1.
