PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color picture processor capable of executing picture processing where the reproducibility of low-density picture such as a document written in a pencil in particular, which is suited to a monochromatic document, is improved in the case of copying in a monochromatic mode in a color picture processor where a full color mode and the monochromatic mode can be selected. SOLUTION: An image separating means is changed between the full color mode and the monochromatic mode to execute reproducing processing putting importance on resolution in the area of characters and to execute reproducing processing putting importance on gradation in the area of a photograph. Further, the image separating means to be used can be selected optionally by a user, thereby the picture can be changed by putting importance in accordance with the liking of the user. |
