摘要 A rechargeable battery has an electrolyte, a nickel hydroxide anode, a hydrogen cathode and a charging device operating at a temperature between -10 deg C and -30 deg C that is below a temperature in range -10 deg C to 5 deg C at which the battery starts to discharge. The battery also has a controller automatically determining the total charge needed under ideal charging conditions. A rechargeable battery has an electrolyte, a nickel hydroxide anode, a hydrogen cathode and a charging device operating at a temperature between -10 deg C and -30 deg C that is below a temperature in range -10 deg C to 5 deg C at which the battery starts to discharge. The battery has a controller automatically determining the total charge needed under ideal charging conditions, the temperature at which the next discharge cycle starts and the charge intensity needed to obtain ideal conditions of charge and temperature. An Independent claim is included for a method of operating a rechargeable battery.
