Provided are formaldehyde-free curable compositions containing 1,3,5-triazine carbamates and polyfunctional carbamate reactive material backbone resins, and methods of preparation of such compositions. The compositions may contain a solvent, which solvent may be organic or aqueous. Such curable compositions are particularly suited for use in coatings applications.
