PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling width of a guide rail for transferring a semiconductor lead frame and transferring a lead frame is provided to precisely transfer the lead frame in a straight line motion and on the guide rail, by controlling the width of the lead frame guide rail according to the width of the lead frame having various widths, and by clamping the lead frame on the controlled guide rail. CONSTITUTION: A control apparatus controls the width of a guide rail(2), coupled to a supporting unit. The control apparatus includes parallel bars and a cam. The parallel bars are extended by penetrating the lower portion of the supporting unit installed in a lower portion of the guide rail and separated by a predetermined interval. The cam rotates at a predetermined angle, connected by the parallel bars and a cam follower bearing to move back and forth the parallel bars. A transfer apparatus includes a clamp(20), which clamps a lead frame, located in the center portion of the guide rail.
