PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically weld a member to be welded whose upper surface is curved in a flat position where high productivity is maintained, also deposition efficiency is best and weld quality is stabilized. SOLUTION: A running truck 3 on which the curved member 1 to be welded is placed and which runs as copying the circular arc of a receiving stand 7 is arranged on the receiving stand 7 whose upper surface has the approximately same circular arc as the curved surface of the curved member 1 to be welded. A welding stage 10 is arranged with an interval where the running truck 3 on which the curved member 1 to be welded is placed can be passed through in the space above the receiving stand 7 and flat welding means 12 is arranged on the welding stage 10. By making the running truck 3 run on the receiving stand 7, when the curved member 1 to be welded is passed through under the welding stage 10, welding is automatically conducted by the flat welding means 12.
