PURPOSE: A current position display service method is provided to display a current position on an electronic map by connecting an electronic book to a GPS or a wireless network and offer tour information near the stand position in a mother language and a corresponding foreign language. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a user accessing an electronic book service site via an PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) or a mobile device and downloading an electronic map on cities before leaving for a foreign country(30), opening the electronic map on the electronic book, displaying the current position over the electronic map by accessing a GPS or a wireless internet, searching for information by the category such as a museum, a restaurant or a department store, and loading the searched information over the electronic map. The user can display the searched information such as an entrance time or an entrance fee on a specific window before accessing each category.
