The invention relates to a tool (A) for use on thin-walled, tubular mechanical element or fasteners (B), especially when fitting gas-filled spring elements to press tools. The invention is characterised by a sleeve-shaped main body (1), the outer end (1A) of which engaging with the mechanical element or the fastener (B) has at least one and preferably two wedge-shaped projections (2) diverging radially outwards for interaction with at least one, or two recesses (3), preferably of complementary shape, in the mechanical element or the fastener, the projections (2) and the recesses (3) each being shaped in relation to one another so that the force occurring when a torque is applied to the tool has a force component directed radially inwards. |
