<p>The invention concerns an equalising device for digital communication systems with multiple reception channels, which in operation has a normal structure comprising means forming a transverse filter for each of the reception channels, means for summing the various channels, and a chain located downstream of said summing means and comprising phase correction means, and a strictly recursive filter comprising in its direct branch decision means, said equalising device comprising means for evaluating its performance level on the basis of an output signal from the device and for, based on the result of said evaluation, switching from the structure which corresponds to the normal operating mode, also called tracking or easy reception modes, to the structure which corresponds to convergence or difficult reception operating modes or inversely. The invention is characterised in that in convergence and/or difficult reception mode, it has a structure which comprises a strictly recursive filter on each of the reception channels, the strictly recursive filter being suppressed from the chain downstream of the summing means.</p> |
