The method involves feeding a fuel gas under pressure to the anode and carrying away the resulting residual anode gas using its calorific value. Compressed air is fed to the cathode as oxidation gas. The air is heated before compression and cooled to the operating temperature of the fuel cell after compression. At least part of the cooling power is used to cool the compressed air by injecting water and the residual cathode gas is carried away. |
