PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-class feeling even when a handle mounting structure is adopted in a double bearing reel made of a round metal and prevent a line from entwining with a handle outer lateral face or dust from sticking thereto as far as possible. SOLUTION: This handle mounting structure of the double bearing reel is a structure for mounting a handle 2 on the tip of a handle shaft 30 having an external thread part 30a formed therein so as to be nonrotatable and is equipped with a handle arm 2a, a nut 28 and a retainer 29. The handle arm 2a has an oval-shaped hole 2c nonrotatably mounted onto the tip of the handle shaft 30 and a noncircular housing recessed part 2d formed in a depressed state at a prescribed depth around the oval-shaped hole 2c on the outer lateral face thereof. The nut 28 has a polygonal nut part 28a screwing onto the tip of the handle shaft 30. The retainer 29 is housed in the housing recessed part 2d substantially flush with the outer lateral face of the handle arm 2a and engaged with the nut part 28a of the nut 28 to carry out the whirl-stop of the nut 28. |
