The invention concerns a tyre comprising at least a reinforcing carcass structure (10) anchored on either side of the tyre in a bead (1) whereof the base is designed to be mounted on a rim seat, the reinforcing structure extending circumferentially from the bead (1) towards the sidewall (6), at least an assembly of the main cords (20) along a substantially circumferential path being provided substantially adjacent to said structure (10), the arrangement of said cord assemblies being such that the number of main cords provided on the axially internal side relative to said structure (10) is greater than the number of main cords provided on the axially external side relative to said structure (10).
