PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for evaluating/sorting display or imaging device in which sorting of acceptable and rejectable display or imaging device or grade sorting can be carried out based on arbitrary decision conditions in a short time without requiring any additional labor. SOLUTION: Characteristics measurement data of a display or imaging device obtained from image information which is obtained by displaying a display or image information which is obtained by picking up an image by means of an imaging device is held in a storage device 2. When decision criteria for evaluation and sorting is altered, the measurement data is taken out from the storage device 2 and the altered decision criteria are applied to that measurement data. Sorting of acceptable and rejectable display or imaging device or ranking of performance thereof are carried out based on that decision criteria.
