PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be recorded having a high image density of a printed product without adverse influence of an ink to the hue of a dye, an image having a clear color tone and high resolution and excellent ink absorbability and image preservability by improving a light resistance and discoloring and fading resistances of an ink jet image. SOLUTION: The medium to be recorded comprises an ink receiving layer containing a compound represented by formula ((wherein X- is a monovalent metal complex anion, R1 to R8 are each a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic residue, wherein at least one of R1 to R8 is a monovalent organic residue selected from a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxyalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkinyl group and a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, and n is 1 or 2.). |
