PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power train for an automatic transmission having a compact structure, having an improved shift feeling in shifting between first and second speed, second and third speed, and forth and second speed, and having the four speed stages by reducing the total length by combining a main stage of speed with a sub stage of speed in two single pinion planetary gear sets. SOLUTION: The power train is provided with a torque converter, a main transmission part for receiving transmission of torque, a sub transmission part connected to the main transmission part by two power transmission paths and for transmitting power to an output shaft, a power transmission means for transmitting torque of the main transmission part to the sub transmission part, a brake means for operating each one operating element of the main transmission part and the sub transmission part as reaction elements, a clutch means for selectively transmitting power and an asynchronous transmission means to be operated in shifting between first and second speed, second and third speed, and fourth and second speed. |
