PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound and a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of atherosclerosis, obesity, diabetes, hyperlipemia, hyperlipoproteinemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hypoalphalipoproteinemia, pancreatitis, cardiac infarction, fit, restenosis or X-ray syndrome and to provide a method therefor. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by the formula I and capable of inhibiting the secretion of apolipoprotein B. The pharmaceutical composition comprises the compound. The method comprises a step of administering an effective amount of the compound or composition to patients.
