PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a cutting defective, skew and paper folding of a carried cut form when a continuous document is cut and carried. SOLUTION: A cutting/carrying device 10 for continuous document intermittently delivers a continuous document. A cut form 12A is formed by cutting the continuous document by a horizontal blade 16 while the carrying is stopped. When the cut form 12A is carried out by a carrier device 22, a tip end and a rear end of the cut form 12A are detected by a cut form carry-out sensor 48. Based on the detected value, sensor arriving time and sensor passing time of the cut form 12A are measured. Based on the measured values, carry-out allowing time corresponding to a top and bottom length of the cut form 12A is set. The carry-out allowing time is compared with sensor arriving actual time and sensor passing actual time of the cut form 12A next time and succeeding time by a control device 24. When the actual times exceed the allowing time, an error stopping processing is performed.
