PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the problem that when a dehumidifier is installed directly in a room, vibration generated at a compression mechanism through operation of a compressor arranged in the dehumidifier is transmitted to an accumulator, the accumulator is vibrated and noise is generated, and especially when used in a bedroom, noise from the accumulator is high infrequency and sometimes disturbs comfortable sleeping. SOLUTION: A dehumidifier is formed such that a refrigerating cycle 5 consisting of a high pressure type compressor 2, a condenser 3, an expansion mechanism 15, an evaporator 3, and an accumulator 16, a drain pan 7 to receive condensate generated at the evaporator 3, a water receptacle 8 to store the condensate, and a blower 6 are contained in a box-form body 1. In the humidifier, the accumulator 16 is connected to a suction pipe 19 arranged in a position spaces away from the compressor 2.
