MODULAR OPTICAL CONNECTOR PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a modular optical connector plug and to assemble it without requiring troublesome processings or works. SOLUTION: A plug main body 14, having a device-attaching/detaching lever 16 is provided with an aperture part 20, which communicates with a guide groove 12 for an optical fiber cord, in the face opposite to the face having the lever 16. A plastic optical fiber cord inserted through a guide groove 12 of the plug main body 14 is fixed elastically in the guide groove 12 by a spring piece 22a of a cord-retaining plate 22 inserted into the aperture part 20. This cord-retaining plate 22 is held in the aperture part 20 by a retaining plate fixing member 24, which is inserted into the aperture 20 and is fixed. An optical fiber of the optical fiber cord is fixed to a sheath-shaped projection part 28 by an adhesive introduced through an adhesive introduction hole 30 provided in the sheath-shaped projection part 28.
