The invented compound transmission (10) has a first transmission section (12) having a main shaft (16) and two countershafts (34, 36). The first transmission section (12) main shaft (16) is provided with a compound gear mounted thereon rotatably, further with four driving gears (26, 28, 30. 32), from which the fourth gear (32) is intended for reverse speed gear. A first clutch (54) being mounted by means of a splined joint on the first countershaft (34) couples one or two countershaft gears (42, 44), which are in engagement with the driving gears (26, 30) mounted on the main shaft (16) with the first countershaft (34). A second clutch (56) being mounted by means of a splined joint on the second countershaft (36) couples the countershaft gears (48, 50), which are in engagement with the driving gears (28, 32) mounted on the main shaft (16) with the second countershaft (36). A second transmission section (14) has a second output shaft (58) and a third and a fourth countershaft (68), which are concentric with both the first and the second countershafts (34, 36) and which are rotated by a compound gear (24). Countershaft gears (64, 66) mounted on countershafts (68) are in engagement with a splitting gear (60) for the fourth forward speed gear and with a rear splitting gear (62) mounted on a second shaft (58). A third clutch (76), being mounted by means of a splined joint on the second shaft (58) couples either the splitting gear (60) or the rear splitting gear (62) with the second shaft (58). A fourth clutch (78), being mounted by means of a splined joint on the main shaft (16) couples the first shaft (16) with the compound gear (24) or with the splitting gear (60). |
