PURPOSE: A karaoke system is provided to variously listen to and practice the singing of songs by separately recording accompaniment melodies and popular singers' songs from the songs by a user selectively. CONSTITUTION: A karaoke system includes a microcomputer(100) controlling selective output of a plurality of accompaniment melodies and popular singers' songs, storing voice signals of songs sung by a user, and controlling the selective output of the accompaniment melodies, the popular singers' songs and the user's song, a key input part(200) for inputting operation instructions to the microcomputer by the manipulation of the user, a first storing/output part(300) for storing and selectively outputting the plurality of accompaniment melodies and popular singers' songs under the control of the microcomputer, a second storing/output part(400) for storing and outputting the user's song, and a mixing/switching part(500) for mixing the output from the first and second storing/outputting parts to output under the control of the microcomputer, and amplifiers(600,610) for amplifying output signals from the mixing/switching part.
