PURPOSE: A driving circuit of a field emission display is provided to reduce switching power consumption of the gate area by using a negative power in the cathode so as to drive the FED panel, and improve picture quality by uniformly guiding the field emission properties. CONSTITUTION: The driving circuit of a field emission display comprises a level shifter(10) increasing a level of an input signal; a switching means(P) connected between first voltage terminal and a cathode(50) for switching according to the output signal of the level shifter; a current controller(20) connected between the cathode(50) and second voltage terminal for controlling the current; a gate electrode(40) installed perpendicular to the cathode(50), wherein a certain driving voltage is excited to the gate electrode; and an anode(30) installed at the upper part of the gate with spaced apart from each other in a certain distance, wherein a certain driving voltage is excited to the anode.
