PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cation curable adhesive composition which exhibits high adhesivity to hard adhesive plastics represented by polyolefins and to various hard adhesive materials. SOLUTION: This cation curable adhesive composition comprising a phenoxymethyloxetane of the general formula (R is a 1 to 5C alkyl group), an epoxy compound having an epoxy group or an alicyclic epoxy group and a cation curing catalyst as main components, wherein the phenoxymethyloxetane and the epoxy compound are compounded in a weight ratio of the phenoxymethyloxetane to the epoxy compound of 40:60 to 95:5.
