<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional telescopic whip antenna used for a portable wireless device that is unsuitable for a small sized portable wireless device of a folding structure, that cannot act like an antenna when the conventional telescopic whip antenna is contained and that the configuration of a portable wireless device whose antenna is available in the contained antenna state is complicated. SOLUTION: When the antenna is extracted, a changeover circuit 8 connects a wireless circuit 12 to an impedance matching circuit 9 and only a straight line shaped antenna element 1 acts like an antenna because the straight line shaped antenna element 1 is energized from a feeding terminal 5. When he antenna is contained in the portable wireless device, the changeover circuit 8 connects the wireless circuit 12 to an impedance matching circuit 10 and only a coil antenna element 3 acts like an antenna because the coil antenna element 3 is energized from a feeding terminal 6. Thus, the antenna is applicable also to small-sized portable wireless devices of a folding structure in spite of a simple configuration.</p> |
