PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibrating gyro, whose sensitivity is enhanced and which is easily miniaturized. SOLUTION: A four-leg tuning fork, which has one base part and four legs extended from the base part and which is composed of a quartz, is used as the vibrating gyro. Every groove between tuning forks is set at 0.6 times or higher of every leg width. Therefore, as a result of the anisotropy of the quartz, the amplitude of every driving leg is large in a driving vibration, and the amplitude of every detecting leg is large in a detecting vibration. Consequently, a vibration which is based on the Coriolis force acting on every driving leg is expanded and detected, and the sensitivity of the vibrating gyro is enhanced. |
