PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device enabled to surely prevent paper feed failure from occurring at a fixing position. SOLUTION: The device main body 1 is provided with a manuscript reading means for reading an image of the manuscript by shifting it, and a both-side printing function for printing on both of the 1st and 2nd/front and back side printing surfaces P1, P2 of a sheet of recording paper P of the same size as the manuscript G, fed from the inside of a paper feed cassette 23. An image forming means has a manuscript reading means 40 for reading manuscript images on both side image reading surfaces G1, G2 of the manuscript, and a manuscript size detecting means 46 for detecting the size of the manuscript to be read by the manuscript reading means 40. Based on the size of the manuscript detected by the manuscript size detecting means 46, a back end void forming position is set at a prescribed position on the side of the back end part Pb in the transport direction on the recording paper P. |
