<p>In a mattress for use in baby cots and prams, both cover (1) and stuffing can be washed in a simple way and/or replaced at need. The cover (1) of the mattress comprises a plurality of parallel pockets (11), and a mattress stuffing consisting of a plurality of 'sausage'-like bodies dimensioned so as to slip into the pockets in the cover. A mattress made in accordance with the invention will also be widenable both in the longitudinal and in the lateral direction as the child grows and receives a bigger bed, and cleaning of the mattress will also take place in a simple way in that the 'sausages' are removed from the cover, so that the latter might be washed separately away from the 'sausages' which, possibly, if necessary, can be replaced.</p> |
