PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of controlling a decrease in snow traction performance after abrasion without the sacrifice of on ice performance. SOLUTION: Around a circumference of a block type land part 18, a stepping part 20 having an inclined top part 20A higher than the groove bottom of circumferential direction grooves and lateral grooves and lower than a tread face 19 of the block type land part 18 is integrally mounted thereon. Sipes 22 are formed on the block type land part and sipes 24 are formed on the stepping part 20. When the block type land part 18 is abraded, the sipes 24 formed on the stepping part 20 appears on the tread face 19 for being capable of controlling a decrease in snow traction performance by an effect that a sipe edge digs up snow on a snowy road as the sipe edge increases, that is edge effect. |
