PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fabricating needles which have high strength and fine external appearances, and to provide decorative articles using the needles fabricated by the same method. SOLUTION: The method for fabricating needles for use in decorative articles comprises a step for forming a ball at an end of a bar material, a step floor compressing at least one portion of the ball to form it into a flat surface, and a step for forming a through hole in an area of the flat surface, wherein the thickness of the compressed portion of the ball is nearly equal to that of the bar material, and the material of the needle is composed of gold, silver, platinum, or alloys thereof, and further the ball is formed by a method wherein an end of the bar material is exposed from a jig and the end of the bar material is heated to a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the material.
