PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rock bolt drive method and drive equipment capable of enhancing the safety of work by increasing the efficiency of the rock bolt drive work. SOLUTION: In a rock bolt drive method for driving a rock bolt to the inner peripheral surface of a tunnel, a hydraulic cylinder mechanism for rock bolt driving is attached to a heavy machine in a detachable manner, and the rock bolt is driven by the rock bolt driving hydraulic cylinder mechanism by utilizing a hydraulic drive source built in the heavy machine.
