METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC PLUGGING OF ELECTROMOTIVE VEHICLE

PURPOSE: An automatic plugging method of an electromotive vehicle and a device thereof are provided to prevent the overheat of a running motor and carry out the braking operation smoothly by beginning the auto-plugging not immediately after a driver leaves his/her feet from an accelerator pedal but after a current of the running motor is decreased below a predetermined reference value. CONSTITUTION: An automatic plugging method of an electromotive vehicle includes a stop request sensing step for sensing whether an accelerator is turned off(S1) or not, an inertia running step of moving a vehicle by inertia by shutting off a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) driving signal if the accelerator was turned off(S7), an auto-plugging step of turning on a contactor of the opposite direction to a current running direction and carrying out the auto-plugging by a PWM driving signal of a plugging ON-DUTY if a running motor current is decreased below a predetermined reference value(S5-S10), and a turning-off step of turning off the contactor and the PWM signal as the vehicle is stopped by monitoring the current generated by the auto-plugging(S14,S15).
