PURPOSE: A method for controlling a billing point in advanced intelligent network service is provided to achieve a suitable billing according to a user' intention, in offering advanced intelligent network service. CONSTITUTION: A caller pushes a destination number and attempts termination(1). In case that the line is busy or there is no answer(2), a destination local exchange recognizes him as a TMS(Telephone Mail Service) subscriber and forwards a service ID, a status code value, an area code and a contractor number to an SSP(Service Switching Point)(3). The SSP, recognizing it as an intelligent network call, drives a TMS logic by transmitting an IDP operation to an SCP(Service Control Point)(4). The SCP transmits an RRBE(Request Report BCSM Event) operation, an ETC(Establish Temporary Connection) operation and an FCI(Finish Charging Information) operation, indicating an FCI_ACM to transmit only billing information to the local exchange, to the SSP simultaneously or sequentially(5). The SSP transmits an ACM(Address Complete Message) to the local exchange in response to the FCI operation(6) and connects IP and a bearer channel in response to the ETC operation(7). The IP waits for a command to execute a voice mail function(8). The SCP transmits a PCUI(Prompt Collect User Information) to the IP to collect a selection number to leave voice recording or a number(9). An ANM(Answer Message) is ignored in the SSP in case that the FCI_ACM has already been transmitted(10). Only in case that an FCI_ANM operation is received, the ANM is transmitted to the local exchange and billing is started(14,15).
