PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress distortion of an input current caused by compensating operation of a series system compensator which inserts voltage in series to a system line. SOLUTION: Current distortion of a power system is suppressed by obtaining each effective of the reverse-phase components and harmonic components of an input currrent Iin, which flows into a series system compensator from a power receiving end by arithemetic circuits 8 and 9 via each kind of converters 1A, 1B, 3, 4A, 4C, and 7 and filters 2, 6A, and 6B, and subtracting these effective values from the preset thresholds, and multiplying an output voltage objective value Vc* by a gain K geared to the difference by means of a mutiplier 10, so that the effective values of the harmonic components and the reverse-phase components of the input current are always smaller than the threshold. |
